This is the story of how we turn a fairly run down house in South Lincolnshire into our new home
We started down this journey about 8 years ago with an idea. Lets just say it was based on many factors, some based on a desire for a better work/life balance, some financial, but mainly about securing our future in a home that was ours in an area and location that we loved
We should have moved in 2020. We put the house on the market on a Monday, sold it for asking price on the Wednesday and Boris announced the Lockdown the following Monday!!
We were able to do a 200 mile “Sneak” to view properties due to me being a Key Worker with a sign written car and we settled on a lovely house just North East of Boston
However it all fell through several months later due to our purchase pulling out. We put the whole thing on hold and carried on with life
Three years further on, various factors prompted us to “try again” and we have now sold, and had an offer accepted on a house in a small village just near Bourne. It needs some work, but nothing we cannot handle.
I will add more detail to the back story as we progress, but for now, this is where we are
