Plenty of progress last week, apologies been a bit busy
Plastering done on Monday and looks really good now that it has dried out
New shed had arrived, but only managed to get the base down before we had two days of high winds with Hurricane Lee (Well what remained of it anyway)
Boiler was installed on Thursday (and an hour on Friday morning to check all OK) so we were able to get on and finish the shed too.
Had a weekend off and went back to Dorset with the first trip in the motorhome to catch up with some family and friends.
The motorhome never missed a beat all weekend, although we did discover that the wiper blades need replacing and the jets unblocking, had a great weekend, dogs were brilliant and arrived back in Twenty at 9:10pm axactly 4hrs after leaving Sams house. Not bad for a 24yr old motorhome at a steady 65mph
Had a bit of a sort out Monday, was getting frustrated that I couldn’t find anything, tools, bits we had bought etc. So now got the shed full, but at least I now know where it is (Whatever I am looking for)…. Its in the shed!
Tuesday was a trip into town to get some forms signed at the new Doctors and off to Peterborough to a dentist as Kathy has had problems with one of her teeth for about a year and was not getting any help from the dentist in Poole. However she had a consultation last week and they X-rayed it and found it was cracked all the way down to the root so needed to come out. Only problem was the root was up into her sinus cavity so needed to find a Dental Surgeon to do the removal.
We was recomended one at the Preistgate Clinic in Peterborough, phoned them this morning and got an appointment for 2pm this afternoon. They took some fresh X-rays and removed the tooth straight away.
Kathy is now very sore, but very releived it has finally been resolved. Hed to go private as no NHS dentists to be found anywhere, but very reasonable – only £95 for the initial consultation, but that included the X-Rays and £160 to have it removed, which compared to some of the prices we were given, that was really good. Will be going back for an aftercare visit in around a month and I may give them the challenge of trying to sort mine out.
Jobs for this week are to get the shower tray installed tomorrow, I have managed to get the waste pipes in today around the dentists and doctors, but needed an 800mm x 800mm piece of OSB to sit the tray on, B & Q in Spalding is useless, so will be going to Branch Bros in Bourne in the morning for that (they are showing stock available on their website so should be OK) Then its starting to lay the floor tiles, wall tiles and get the shower and toilet in
Hoping to get a bit of progress this week as the kitchen will be here around the 11th of October….No preasure Michael
Watch this space!!
