Hello again,
It’s been a while since I last posted, for a couple of reasons
Firstly, it’s been the winter time so progress slowed, because the weather was rubbish and secondly, something called “work” got in the way.
I had intended to stay off until Christmas anyway and go back to work in the new year. I had loads of promises of work and was looking to probably do some sub- contracting for a few years to give me the flexibility to still work on the house
I had loads of promises of work before we moved and should have been quite busy, however none of the promises came through and after a few months I decided to go back to full time work and now work for 4Com, who bizarrely are based in Bournemouth
Loving the job, company seem great and they’re paying me too, happy days!
We decided we were not really happy with the motorhome, due to having to put everything away before we went out and to be honest, 90Hp was just too slow. 0 to 60 mph was measured in minutes and not seconds and we also found it a little small with us and the two dogs. So we have sold it a bought another caravan.
Nice big twin axle Abbey Spectrum, loads more room and comfort. Tows really nice
This was the week after we bought it, on a trial run for Easter weekend away at Mablethorpe with Mark and Abbie and the kids in their caravan. You can just see them behind ours. Getting ready to try and get off the mud and head home.
We have also increased the rodent prevention team
Meet Jack and Munch, same mum as Charlie and Dixie but different dad.
Jack’s the tired one 😂
They are settling in fine, growing well and adding to the chaos too
We had a trip back down to Poole recently too for Pauline and David’s 50 wedding anniversary ( my sister and her husband)
They had dug out the wedding photos and it seems I may have been abused as a child. Look what the dressed me in for the wedding!!
As far as the house goes, we have been doing a lot of sorting and tidying, but the biggest job so far ( now that the weather is getting warmer) was to replace the fences. Got fed up of forever nailing them back up after a light breeze.
Brand new fence all the way to the bottom of the garden and posts in across the bottom, but wanting to do some more clearing before finishing off
Before
After
A massive thank you to Sam for coming up to help again and also to Mark from next door who spent two days digging holes and pulling up lumps of concrete As always could not have done it without your help
Kaff took the opportunity to roll around in the mud
I think the next few weeks will be numerous dump runs and clearing yet more junk that we keep digging up
Finally for now, still trying to teach Charlie basic kitchen hygiene 😂
Not the best place to wash your butt, Charlie!!
Rodent tally so far ( bigger cats are allowed out now)
Charlie, a mouse and two shrews
Dixie, a butterfly!
Writing this sat in a camping field in Tilshead as we have come away for the weekend in the caravan
